OLIPOP | CHUMPOP | THWARTING A BIKINI BOTTOM MOVIE & BEVERAGE LAUNCH
Callen teamed up with two of Bikini Bottom’s most dastardly villains; The Flying Dutchman & Plankton, to sabotage the success of SpongeBob’s Limited Edition Pineapple Paradise OLIPOP flavor launch, as well as the new SpongeBob Movie premiering in December.
We felt that those bubbles blowers couldn’t take all the soda spoils, so the two evil geniuses united and brewed up their most dastardly scheme yet. CHUMPOP!
Through endless R&D, can fabrication, flavor testing and creative development, we were able to send shivers down everyones timbers and produce a campaign that was primed for WORLD DOMINATION!
Plankton & The Flying Dutchman started by taking over the OLIPOP social handles, along with their website — promoting CHUMPOP, highlighting that it is better than Pineapple Paradise in EVER WAY!
They then hijacked the Pineapple Paradise promo videos, glitching in and out to seed and sell their CHUMPOP to the masses, alongside sending their influencer & celeb partners PR boxes to spread the good word of CHUMPOP to the world.
They even took over grocery stores, covering up any and all Pineapple Paradise displays, swapping in CHUMPOP cans to ensure all shoppers knew what was YUM and what was BOO!
This full 360 campaign, which was picked up by Ad Age, included the creation of a new beverage, a social film launch, photography shoot, in-store takeover and in the end, achieved WORLD DOMINATION!!!
